Jared Leto (born December 26, 1971) is an American actor and musician. He came to prominence after his role as Jordan Catalano on the television series “My So-Called Life” (1994). He made his film debut in “How to Make an American Quilt” (1995) and received critical praise for his performance in Prefontaine (1997). He earned his huge fame for portraying heroin addict Harry Goldfarb in Requiem for a Dream (2000). His performance as a transgender woman in Dallas Buyers Club (2013) earned him an Academy Award, a Golden Globe Award, and a Screen Actors Guild Award for Best Supporting Actor. His later movies are Suicide Squad (2016), Blade Runner 2049 (2017), The Little Things (2021), and House of Gucci (2021). His most recent film “Morbius” was released on 1st April 2022. Leto started his own band “Thirty Seconds to Mars” with Tomo Milicevic and his brother Shannon Leto in the year 1998. 7. He gets inspiration from Post-Apocalyptic dreams
Leto said one of his main areas of inspiration is his dreams, which are often post-apocalyptic themed. He claims that he has really wild dreams that sound almost nightmarish. “I have the craziest post-apocalyptic dreams,” he told Rolling Stone. “It’s insane. Things out of science fiction books. Or I’m flying or something over a city. The wildest dreams. Hyper-real dreams. These dreams helped him inspire the songs on his band Thirty Seconds to Mars’ first album. 9. Jared Leto once lived in Haiti
He once lived in Haiti with his mum during his childhood and returned there after the earthquake in 2010 to volunteer in January 2011 to “reconnect” with his former home following the tremor of January 2010. After the 2010 Haiti earthquake, he released a book of photographs taken during his trip to the Caribbean country in 2011, in a bid to raise funds for the earthquake-ravaged country. He has connected with and helped various organizations since arriving there, including J/P Haitian Relief Organization.
