Childhood and education
Denise was raised in Ohio as an only child, by her father who was a businessman, and her mother who was a secretary. Her parents urged her to work on her education, rather than to have a poor job and to have to rely on her husband.
She attended a local high school from which she matriculated as one of the best students, and after taking several years to gather money for college, she enrolled at Towson University from which she graduated in 1992 with a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration. While there, she was part of the Alpha Omicron Pi sorority, and was physically active as she played a variety of sports, including soccer and tennis.
Denise’s career
Denise launched her career in 1993, when she joined the Modern Medical Systems Company, working in their sales department until 2000, when she became a flooring specialist and started working for The Home Depot Company.
She stayed with them until 2006, when she went to work for the Smith & Nephew Company.
It was in 2010 that Denise decided to become a real estate agent, obtaining her license and then beginning to work at Prudential Douglas Elliman Company. Although she has been trying to keep her personal and business life away from the media’s attention, this has proven to be hard, because of her former marriage with Jordan Belfort.
Denise is played by Christin Milioti in the movie “Wolf of the Wall Street”, which follows Jordan’s notorious career.
Love life and marriage with Jordan Belfort
Denise met Jordan Belfort in 1990 when they were introduced by a mutual friend, and after only several months of dating, they married, but then divorced in 1991. It is widely believed that the reason behind their divorce was Jordan’s infidelity, and not long after the divorce was finalized, he married American model Nadine Caridi, who gave birth to their two children, but the marriage ended in a divorce in 2005.
In 1995, Denise married her boyfriend of two years, Mlady, in a private ceremony attended by only a few close friends and family, and she has since kept the details of her and Mlady’s married life to herself.
She doesn’t have children, and is currently leading an apparently peaceful life with Mlady and their two dogs at their home in Ohio.
Hobbies and other interests
Denise has mostly been focused on making money, but there are several things which she enjoys doing in her spare time. She likes to buy things for her house, making her feel as an interior designer, and is a huge lover of animals, with her favorites being horses. Who is Jordan Belfort?
Jordan Ross Belfort was born in The Bronx, New York City USA, on 9 July 1962 – his zodiac sign is Cancer and he holds American nationality.
He is a former stockbroker, best known for the scandal in 1999 when he was charged with fraud and stock-market manipulation, to which he pleaded guilty, and admitted that he was running a boiler room (‘outbound call center selling questionable investments by telephone’). He was sentenced to spend a year and 10 months in jail, and after his release, he released his book “The Wolf of Wall Street” which was a huge success, and which in 2013 was turned into a movie.
He grew up in Bayside, Queens and from an early age knew how to make money. While attending high school, he and his friend Elliot sold Italian ice on the beach, and made themselves $10,000 each.
Jordan went on to attend American University, from which he graduated with a Bachelor of Arts degree in biology in 1984. He decided to become a dentist, thus enrolling at the University of Maryland’s School of Dentistry, but after being told by the dean that dentistry is not the field to make money in, he left and became a door-to-door meat salesman on Long Island. He launched his own company which was closed in 1987, but was eventually helped by a friend to start training as a stockbroker at L. F. Rothschild.
He went on to found the brokerage house Stratton Oakmont, Inc. which tricked investors such that they lost millions of dollars, while Jordan was leading a lavish lifestyle, using drugs while his favorite was methaqualone.
It is believed that he defrauded investors for over $1 billion, until in 1989 the National Association of Security Dealers started following him, and his company was eventually closed in December 1996, and he was charged with defrauding investors and running a boiler room. He served his sentence at the Taft Correctional Institution, and was ordered to repay $110 million to the people he tricked. Upon his release from prison, Jordan became a motivational speaker.
Jordan was the owner of the yacht Nadine, which was made for Coco Chanel, but in June 1996 it sank after Jordan sailed out against his captain’s advice.
He plays a variety of sports, and is best at tennis.
