Childhood, parents and education
Jenna was raised alongside her twin brother Jace and their other two siblings Gia and Jett, by their parents John Bandy who was a basketball player, and Sheryl Bandy who was a housewife.
Jenna became interested in basketball while still attending elementary school, and upon enrolling at Thousand Oaks High School, she joined their basketball team and was eventually chosen for the All-County and All-Conference team two times during the four years spent there. Jenna was elected the Most Valuable Player (MVP), and the Best Offensive player and she had an average of 12 points and seven rebounds per game.
Upon matriculation in 2011, Jenna wanted to enroll at the University of Arizona as it was recommended by her friends and family, but she eventually chose to attend California State University, and immediately upon enrolling started playing for their basketball team.
She got little play time during her first year, and then during her sophomore year got to play for 20 minutes in seven matches. Jenna played only the first three games of her third season before suffering a knee injury, and having to spend the rest of the season on the bench – she played 25 games during her final year.

Jenna continued to play basketball for two years after graduation, and tried to become a sports reporter or a broadcaster, but without much luck.
In 2017, she was invited to become a basketball coach at Calabasas High School, and help the girls join the Basketball Beauties All-League – Jenna has since been working at Calabasas.
