Early life and education
Matt was raised alongside his younger brother Kevin, in Texas, by their father who worked at a local telecommunications company, and their mother who was an accountant.
He became interested in comedy at a very early age, as he often watched comedy movies and TV series with his family – Matt’s family was his first audience, who supported and encouraged him to pursue a career as a comedian.
He attended a local high school at which he was very sporting, as he played soccer and tennis, and upon matriculation in 2010, Matt enrolled at the University of Texas, Austin from which he graduated with a Bachelor of Arts degree in speech and debate in 2014.
