Beth spent the first seven years of her life in Rapid City, then her family moved to Scottsdale in Arizona. She has one sister, Ashley and they were raised by their father who was a theatre actor, and their mother who was a singer.
Beth became interested in acting during her first years at elementary school, and was encouraged by her teacher to join the school’s drama club, subsequently appearing in plays performed. By the time she completed her elementary education, Beth had already appeared in plays performed at several theatres too. She attended a local high school at which she continued acting, and also started practicing singing but soon learned that she wasn’t very talented. Beth planned on pursuing an acting career, but was urged by her parents to obtain her degree, which is why she enrolled at Arizona State University, from which she graduated with a Bachelor of Arts degree in music and theatre in 1980 – she also practiced acting at the Los Angeles Film Industry Workshop.

Beth worked at various night clubs to financially support herself while working her way up in the film industry. Beth wasn’t physically active while attending high school, and was bullied because she was overweight – she envied her sister who was very attractive, and Beth found comfort in diet pills and getting high.
One day, she got very high, drove her car into a tree and nearly died, after which she started seeing a psychologist, eventually stopping smoking and taking diet pills. She also gained an interest in working out, playing sports and going for long walks, which helped her recovery, and weight loss.
One of Beth’s main hobbies is travelling, and she has been to many attractive locations in the US as well as to several European countries such as England, France and Spain.

Weight loss
Beth wanted to lose weight early on in her career but wasn’t allowed to because the directors of the series “The Young and the Relentless” wanted her the way she looked, however, they gave her their permission to lose weight in 1987, and Beth hired a personal nutritionist and started having several training sessions a week at Gold’s Gym – she lost around 55lbs in only a couple of months.

Beth’s age is 62. She has long blonde hair and blue eyes, her height is 5ft 10ins (1.78m) and she weighs around 215lbs (98kgs).
