The actress was born as Beverly Heather D’Angelo on 15 November 1951, in Columbus, Ohio, the USA. She was born as the daughter to musician father, Constantino ‘Gene’ D’Angelo, a bass player and also a TV station manager at WBNS-TV in Columbus. Her mother Priscilla Ruth was a Violinist. Further, she has three siblings; Jeff, Tim, and Tony. In addition, she has a mixed ethnicity of Italian, English, Irish, Scottish, and German.

She has attended Upper Arlington High School in Upper Arlington, Ohio. The Upper Arlington Alumni Association awarded Beverly in 2009 as a Distinguished Award for achievement in her career. Other than this, there is no information on her further education.

After two years of divorce, she dated an Academy Award-winner production designer, Anton Furst. Sadly, they separated when the production designer took his own life in 1991. Also, she was in a relationship with the actor Al Pacino from 1997. The couple was in a serious relationship from which they had twins; son Anton James and daughter Olivia Rose.
