His father, Bori Fati is also an ex-footballer. His father Bori who was born in Guinea-Bissau emigrated to Portugal where he played professional football in the lower leagues. 

Ansu Fati has an older brother named Miguel Fati who is also a footballer. His brother signed with Sevilla. The Fati family moved to Sevilla after Miguel signed with Sevilla.

Ansu Fati joined Barcelona La Masia in 2012. He was only 10 years old when he joined the club. After representing Barcelona’s youth teams from 2012 to 2019, he signed his first professional contract with the club on 24 July 2019. He signed a four-year contract with the club that would keep at the club until 2022. His contract pays him £3,796,000 per year in salary. His net worth is estimated at around £4 million. 

He was officially promoted to the first team in September 2020.

Ansu Fati is a record breaker. The promising talent from Barcelona has already set several records in his professional career. He is the youngest player to feature for Barcelona in the Champions League and is the third-youngest player to feature in the Champions League. He set another record  of becoming the youngest goalscorer in the Champions League history. He scored against Inter Milan at the age of 17 years and 40 days. He is also the first player to score more than one goal in Champions League before turning 18.

Ansu Fati was making and breaking records at Barcelona. The Barcelona star set several records before suffering an injury that kept him out of football for a long period. Fati tore his meniscus on his left knee during Barcelona’s match against Real Betis on 7 November 2020. He underwent surgery and was announced to remain out of football for four months. However, Fati had to several more months to return to football. He remained out of football for 9 months.

Ansu Fati Chose Spain Over Guinea-Bissau And Portugal

Born in Guinea-Bissau, Fati was eligible to represent the country at international level. He was also reportedly eligible to represent Portugal through his grandparents’s birth in colonial Portuguese Guinea. After Fati’s performance in La Liga, Spain was keenly interested on him. Fati chose to represent Spain on the international level. He was eventually granted Spanish citizenship in September 2019.

He made his full international debut for Spain against Germany and scored his first senior international goal against Ukraine in September 2020. He became Spain’s youngest ever goalscorer at age 17 years and 311 days.
