Early life and education

Amber was raised in Colorado by her father who was a taxi driver, and her mother who was working at a local supermarket. She is an only child, but always had many friends. She became interested in acting and modelling at a very early age, and began practicing acting while attending high school.

Upon matriculating, she moved to Las Vegas, and focused on her modelling and acting career rather than enrolling at college.

Career as a model and an actress

She launched her modelling career when she was 18 years old, when she worked at a hotel and casino called MGM Mirage Resorts located in Las Vegas. She was posing and appearing in their ads and commercials, and was soon noticed by many modelling scouts, and appeared on cover pages of popular magazines including “MAXIM”, “Muscle & Fitness”, and “Oxygen”.

He spent the first five years of his life in Huntington Beach before moving to Santa Ana, where he was raised by his father Samuel Ortiz and his mother Joyce.

He has three half-brothers from his mother’s marriage to Louie Simmons – it wasn’t easy for the boys while growing up, as both Joyce and Samuel were addicted to heroin.
