The Net Worth of QJB
As of early-2020, QJB’s net worth is estimated to be over $1.5 million, earned through a successful career online.
His YouTube fame has directly contributed to his wealth as YouTube owner Google pays top content creators through advertising revenue, based on the number of views and interactions they have. His fame on the site has led him to numerous opportunities, including event invitations and sponsorships.
Early Life and Education
While QJB was born in Delaware, he didn’t stay there long as his family moved across the US due to his father being in the military. Moving a lot, he didn’t have time to settle in and find long term friends in one location. Instead, he turned to video games as a way to entertain himself and stay connected.
He loved playing video games but never really thought of it as a career path. After matriculating from high school, he enrolled at the North Carolina Agricultural and Technical State University, where he took up a degree in computer-aided drafting and design. The historically black university has been in existence since 1981 and is the largest of its kind in the country, known particularly for its engineering courses. During this time, he was a big fan of both American Football and basketball. He played basketball when he was younger, though he wasn’t skilled enough to pursue it as a career.
Career Beginnings, Further Studies, and Transition
After completing his degree, QJB worked as a computer-aided design technician for the next three years.
While he was earning a good paycheck, he was never really satisfied with his work, and wanted to progress further, which led him to pursue a master’s degree. Around this time he discovered the website YouTube, and noticed how several personalities became successful by playing video games, and suddenly a new career path opened up to him. The video-sharing website is one of the highest-traffic areas online, and is responsible for careers as well as the fame of many personalities.
One of the biggest communities on YouTube is its gaming community, with numerous content creators focused solely on a game or a genre.
Other gamers focus on entertainment, while others upload content to cater to people wanting something more competitive. Today, comedy channels, pro gamers, entertainers, speedrunners, role-players and many other types of gaming content creators exist on the site. For QJB, YouTube started as a hobby – he didn’t want to commit to it full time yet as he had not attracted a big-enough audience to receive enough regular income.
A Full-Time YouTuber
QJB started his channel by creating videos of himself playing American Football video games, beginning with “NCAA Football 12”, showcasing some games in which he played the competitive ranked mode.
Later on, with the advent of the more popular “Madden NFL” franchise, he started focusing more on that, and also uploaded a lot of NBA video game content. His channel grew significantly once he began playing the video game “NBA Live Mobile 16”, which at one point was the most popular video game based on the NBA. It retained this title for many years until a competitor in “NBA 2K” took over, with superior graphics and gameplay. “NBA Live” continued producing games and later made a resurgence in the mobile market. He began uploading games during the peak of its popularity, leading to a huge number of views. With new video games being created, he later left the game and switched to more current and up-to-date examples.
Other Projects and Recent Work
Due to his fame, QJB gained a lot of work opportunities. At some point during his career, he began collaborating with fellow “NBA” and “Madden” YouTube content creator Chris Move, playing the game together. It received a lot of attention thanks to the significant following each of them had. He has also worked alongside comedian Kevin Hart as a part of a commentary video. His fame on YouTube led him to be featured in the commercial for “NBA 2k15”. He’s also been invited to a few video game tournaments such as the “Madden Ultimate Team (MUT) Invitational Tournament” and “Duracell 26 Hour Longest Lasting Tournament”.

While he primarily plays sports video games, he’s known to stray from his usual path from time to time. During the peak of the popularity of “Fortnite”, he played and uploaded a few videos, though later switched back to sports so that he wouldn’t alienate his fans. Recently, he’s been playing a lot of the video game “NBA 2K20” which despite generally negative reviews, has a lot of players due to the lack of any better options for NBA-related gaming. He often plays online, and his fans enjoy it when he opens digital packs that contain high valued players from across the history of the game.
These players can be used online against other players, and he loves showcasing his newest pulls.
Personal Life
While QJB’s public presence mainly consists of him sitting in front of the camera playing video games, he has been married to Brittany since 2016, and they have a daughter together. He doesn’t like talking about his life away from gaming, preferring to keep it separate from his career. Like many sports fans, he is very vocal when it comes to opinions in NBA and NFL. He also has entertaining reactions when playing the games, which has helped him build a loyal fanbase.
