Early life and education
Ellison spent her early years in Atlanta, where she was raised an only child by her father who is a mechanic, and her mother who is a nurse. She became interested in broadcast journalism at a very early age, watching news and other shows on TV with her parents.
She attended a local high school in Atlanta where she was physically active playing several sports, while she was mostly interested in reporting thus working for the school’s local show. Upon matriculation, she enrolled at Wofford College in Spartanburg, South Carolina, graduating in 2012 with a Bachelor of Arts degree in English.
Ellison was also practicing acting and singing while attending university, appearing in several of the university’s plays, while also dancing, and playing lacrosse.
Career as a reporter
In 2012, Ellison started working for CBS affiliate station WUSA as their general assignment reporter. A year later, she was promoted to the Prince George’s County Deputy Bureau Chief, covering many stories such as the killings in Washington D.C. in 2015 when the entire Savopoulos family was murdered, including Veralicia Figueroa who was working as the family’s housekeeper. Ellison also covered the lock-down of the USA Capitol, as well as the events organized after Terrence Sterling was shot.
In April 2017, Ellison was invited to work for the Fox News network, becoming a general assignment correspondent. She was the first person to report from Maicao in Colombia and while shooting there, a shootout occurred which lasted for 30 minutes – luckily, neither Ellison nor any members of her team were injured.
Ellison became somewhat famous when she was working at WUSA network and was reporting during a snow blizzard, coincidentally running-into Alexander Ovechkin who is a Russian professional ice hockey player for the Washington Capitals which are competing in the National Hockey League (NHL).
The video of her interviewing Alexander went viral, with more than four million Americans seeing it on the internet. Ellison has recently returned to Maicao reporting with her crew from the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR) refugee assistance camp.

In 2017 Ellison met Andy Tongren, who is best known for being a member of the rock band Young Rising Sons. Ellison announced that they were together in December 2017 when she uploaded a picture of the two of them together onto her Instagram account, and since then she has often written about her other half.
Andy has also shared the two’s pictures on his social media accounts, and although Ellison and Andy are reportedly living together, they are not married and do not have any children together. Ellison was in a long-term relationship with her college sweetheart which lasted from 2009 to 2012 when she graduated, and the two went their separate ways, while Andy has been in many short-term relationships none of which lasted longer than a few months.

Ellison is a fan of sports, and enjoys attending live baseball and football games while she is good at playing tennis and lacrosse among other sports – winter is her favorite season as she is an avid skier.

He grew up in New Jersey, and started singing while attending high school. He joined his first band at the age of 15, and later joined the alternative rock band Young Rising Sons – the three other members are Julian Dimagiba on the bass, Max Lantorno on the guitar, and Steve Patrick who plays the drums.
The band was formed in 2010, but gained recognition only after they began collaborating with Shep Goodman ad Aaron Accetta, two New York music producers.
Young Rising Sons were soon signed to Dirty Canvas Music, while their debut single was released in 2013 called “High”. In 2014, they signed a new deal with Interscope Records, releasing their first self-titled extended play (EP) in the same year.
