Educational Background and Early Career

Michael always wanted to become an attorney, but changed his mind while attending Ravenscroft School in Raleigh, where he performed in the school’s production of “What Love Is”, and later joined the boy choir. He also performed in such high school musicals as “Oklahoma!”, “The Sound Of Music”, and “Fiddler On The Roof”.

Upon matriculation in 1989, he enrolled in Earlham College, a liberal arts college based in Richmond, Indiana, from which he obtained his degree in 1993. During his college years, Michael starred in the production of “Cabaret”.
