Born Cynthia Silva on the 29th October 1956, in California USA of Portuguese ancestry, Cindy hasn’t talked about her childhood and parents. After high school, she enrolled at California State University at Fullerton (CSUF), and it was there that her life changed forever.

She met her future husband, Kevin Costner, who was on the university campus studying marketing and finance. She launched her career as an actress even before graduation, appearing on stage mostly, though in 1998 she made her on-screen debut, appearing in the film “LiteWeight”.
