He then made his Premier League debut for the club on 27 September 2020 in a 5-2 home defeat by Leicester City. During his 2020-21 season, he made only 3 appearances for the club, scoring once in all the competitions. That season, he also made 22 appearances for Manchester City U23, scoring 27 goals and providing 6 assists in all the competitions as he won the PL2 Player of the Year award. 
  • After missing the first half of 2021-22 through injury, he earned debuts in the Premier League, FA Cup, and Champions League. On 20 August 2021, he signed a three-year contract extension, keeping him at the club until 2026. Following a number of injuries, he made his first appearance of the season as a substitute in the FA Cup 3rd Round tie against Fulham in February 2022 and also came on during the 4-0 win over Norwich City in the Premier League, winning the penalty for the 4th goal. He then made his UEFA Champions League debut for the club on 15 February 2022 in a 5-0 away win over Primeira Liga champions Sporting CP in the first leg of the round of 16 ties. During his 2021-22 season, he only made 3 appearances for the club in all the competitions. That season, he also made 12 appearances for Manchester City U23, scoring 8 goals and providing 2 assists in all the competitions.
