Cheslie Kryst was an American model, beauty pageant titleholder, and television correspondent. She won the title Miss USA 2019 and later represented the United States at the Miss Universe 2019 competition. But she was placed in the top ten. Following that, she has also appeared in several modeling assignments too.
Furthermore, she was a licensed lawyer and practiced law in both North Carolina and South Carolina. The attorney had served as a correspondent for Extra from October 2019 until her death. For her role as a New York correspondent for Extra, she gained nominated for two Daytime Emmy Awards in 2020 and 2021. The beauty pageant titleholder was born on 28 April 1991 as Cheslie Corrinne Kryst under the zodiac sign, Taurus. She was born as the daughter of her parents April Simpkins and Rodney A Kryst in Jackson, Michigan, the United States of America. Further, her mother is an African-American while her father is a Polish-American. She further grew up with her five siblings: four brothers: Asa, Chandler, Jet, and Brooklyn, and a sister, Page.
Regarding her education, she attended schooling Northwestern High School and then transferred to Fort Mill High School, graduating in 2009. Moreover, her family moved to different places during her young age: from Michigan to Charlotte and then to Rock Hill, South Carolina. Additionally, she was inspired by her mother and participated in beauty pageants. Her mother competed in pageantry and was crowned Mrs. North Carolina US.
Likewise, Kryst competed in beauty pageants since her high school years. She first won the title Miss Freshman at Northwestern High School, South Carolina, and then Miss Fort Mill High School in Fort Mill, SC. After two attempts in 2017 and 2018, she won Miss North Carolina for her second time. She then represented North Carolina at the Miss USA 2019 competition and won the title. In the same year, she competed in the Miss Universe 2019 and finished in the top ten.
She moved to Columbia, SC where she attended the Honors College at the University of South Carolina. From the Darla Moore School of Business, she graduated cum laude with a degree in marketing and human resource management in 2013. During this time, she became a member of the Alpha Lambda Delta honor society, Gamecocks women’s track and field team, and mock trial. She was later admitted to Wake Forest University School of Law in Winston-Salem, NC. Then she graduated with a Juris Doctor and Master of Business Administration in 2017 from the university.

As we mentioned earlier, she initially competed in beauty pageants and then also been involved in the modeling industry since her teenage. After her graduation from law school, she gained a license and began to practice law in both North and South Carolina. She had worked as an attorney at Poyner Spruill LLP where she practiced complex civil ligation. Besides that, she worked with pro bono publico and Brittany K. Barnett. The former model had been the founder of the fashion blog White Collar Glam as well.
Apart from her law career, she began to host television shows as well. In October 2019, she landed a job at an American syndicated news broadcasting newsmagazine Extra as a New York correspondent. For the position, she earned a nomination for Outstanding Entertainment News Program at the 47th Daytime Emy Awards.

The beautiful lady had been secretive when it comes to her personal life. So, it’s a bit unclear about her love life or affairs among the media portals. So, she might be single for a long time and might have been at least involved in one relationship in the past. Before knowing about her love life, she ended her life in January 2022.
Sadly, the television correspondent admitted suicide on 30 January 2022 by jumping off from a 60-story high-rise apartment in Midtown manhattan. It was her own apartment from where she jumped. Just before that, she uploaded a post on her Instagram account and also reported to left a suicide note. Also, the letter stated that her all belongings go to her mother. A day later her death was ruled a suicide by the coroner. Her mother later released a statement citing Cheslie was suffering from high-functioning depression.
