The Net Worth of Alexa Nisenson
As of early-2020, Alexa Nisenson’s net worth is estimated to be over $1 million, earned through a successful if youthful career in acting. Starting as a child actor, she’s gained numerous opportunities and contracts that have steadily built her wealth.
Early Life and Career Beginnings
At a young age, Alexa was highly interested in the performing arts, and began learning how to dance. She joined the Abby Lee Dance Company which is known for gaining popularity through the reality television program “Dance Moms”. The dance studio is owned by instructor and choreographer Abby Lee Miller, who is also one of the main personalities in the television show. While Alexa trained in the school, she declined to make any television appearances, setting her sights outside of reality TV.
Alexa subsequently turned her attention to acting, and one of her earliest projects was a guest appearance in the television series “Constantine”.
The show is based on the titular DC comic character of the same name, a man who deals with magic and the occult part of the superhero universe. After working on the show she gained more opportunities, and was cast in “Middle School: The Worst Years of My Life” in the minor role of Georgia, joining the likes of Griffin Gluck and Lauren Graham. The film which was released in 2016 is based on the novel of the same name written by Chris Tebbetts and James Patterson, and received mixed reviews but was successful at the box office, leading to plans for a sequel.
Further Acting Work
The following year Nisenson was cast in the comedy film “Fist Fight”, which starred Ice Cube, Tracy Morgan, and Charlie Day, and follows the story of a school teacher whose actions lead to another teacher losing his job; he is then challenged to a fistfight after school. The film was also a commercial success, though reviews on it were generally mixed to negative. Alexa attracted a bit of attention for her role, which then led to her appearing in the music video for “I Don’t F With You” by Big Sean, working alongside Charlie Day.
Afterward, she worked on the revival of the hit series “Will and Grace”, in which she portrayed a younger version of the character Karen – the show was revived after NBC created an online special featuring the characters, which led to the idea of the show being put back into production. The show is running for its 11th season, which is set to be the last.
Fear the Walking Dead
Alexa’s next projects would be a small role in the show “Good Behavior” during its second season, and the film “Orphan Horse”; the latter was her first starring role in which she worked alongside Academy Award winner Jon Voight, and tells the story of a girl who befriends the horse of a retired horse trainer.
Afterwards she appeared in her most notable role so far, when she was cast in the fourth season of “Fear the Walking Dead” in a recurring role. The post-apocalypse horror series tells the story of humanity after a virus causes a zombie outbreak that destroys modern civilization. The show is marketed as a companion series to the hit show “The Walking Dead”, which is also based on the comic book series of the same name. Following her recurring status, she was promoted to series regular, making it the first regular role in her career. In the show, she plays the character Charlie who was initially a part of a group called the Vultures.
She was used as a spy to infiltrate other groups, so that the Vultures could later learn where important supplies were being kept. Later she decided to leave the group, and join the group of the main characters led by Morgan.
Issues with The Walking Dead Franchise
“The Walking Dead” was at one point the hottest thing on television, breaking numerous records for its new take on the zombie genre, focusing more on the human emotions that revolved around this new world. The series was also responsible for elevating or revitalizing the careers of its actors – stars like Andrew Lincoln, Norman Reedus, Steven Yeun and Danai Gurira were some of the few who gained more exposure thanks to the show.

However, the series struggled to retain its high ratings in recent years, mostly attributed to a lot of poor decisions, including questionable character deaths meant to help raise ratings for a short period.
Its spin-off “Fear the Walking Dead” wasn’t free from controversy either. The show was originally meant to be a prequel that showcased the how and why of their world’s zombie apocalypse. It failed to deliver on that promise, and the lack of direction for many of its characters led to several of them opting out of the show. The series has seen a bit of a resurgence since a new cast was introduced, along with familiar faces from the original show. However, the franchise as a whole is far from what it once was.
Many of its previous fans cite the lack of coherent story-telling, character development, and a declining interest in the once saturated zombie genre as some of the biggest factors in its decline.
Personal Life
Alexa is single and at 13 still young, as she entered her early teens just around the time she joined the cast of “Fear the Walking Dead”, and so still focused on developing her career. She resides with her family in Los Angeles, California, opting to move there to have more access to the entertainment industry in the US.
