Wynton was raised in the USA alongside his three half-siblings: twins Brandi and Karli, and Broderick Harvey Jr., by his father and his mother Mary Chackelford – his mother was his father’s second wife as Steve was previously married to Marcia Harvey. Steve divorced Mary in November 2005, and they had joined custody over Wynton – Steve then went on to marry Marjorie Bridges in June 2007, and adopted her three children.
Wynton became physically active while attending high school, as he played various sports including football and basketball, and upon matriculation in 2015 he was featured in his father’s YouTube video “Wynton and Lori pack for college” – it was an emotional moment for Steve who could’ve been seen crying in the video. Broderick Stephen Harvey was born in Welch, West Virginia USA, on 17 January 1957 – his zodiac sign is Capricorn and he holds American nationality. He’s known best for hosting the shows “Family Feud” and “The Steve Harvey Morning Show”, as well as for having won 14 National Association for the Advancement of Colored People (NAACP) Image Awards, two Marconi Awards and six Daytime Emmy Awards.
Steve was raised alongside his sisters Mona and Pauline and their brother Terry in Welch, by their father Jesse Harvey who worked as a coal miner, and their mother Eloise Vera who was a housewife – the family later moved to Cleveland in Ohio, and the street in which they used to live has since 2015 been called Steve Harvey Way. Steve attended Glenville High School from which he matriculated in 1984, and then went on to enroll at Kent State University before transferring to West Virginia University, but dropped out before graduation.
Before he launched his career on TV and as a stand-up comedian, Steve worked various jobs including being an insurance agent, autoworker and a carpet cleaner, while he was also once a boxer and a mailman.
He debuted as a stand-up comedian on 8 October 1985, but without success such that he became homeless, sleeping in his car for around three years.

He still went on to host the Miss Universe pageant for the following four years.
In 2017, Steve launched his company Steve Harvey Global, and two years later the learning hub Vault.
He is a philanthropist and the joint-founder of The Steve & Marjorie Harvey Foundation. Steve has also partnered with the lifestyle magazine “Essence”, and Walt Disney World Resort to launch the workshop Disney Dreamers Academy.
He is a devout Christian, and is vegan.
