Father – Chunkey Pandey
Chunky Pandey aspired to be an actor at a young age, and first worked as an instructor before eventually pursuing a career in the profession. In 1987 he rose to success, appearing in various Hindi films such as “Aag Hi Aag”, “Paap Ki Duniya”, and “Tezaab”, which helped elevate his stock, but after some mixed success in the field as the lead actor of several films, he took a long break from acting as he found no role that could fit him. He then began appearing in numerous Bangladeshi films, receiving very little opportunities in Bollywood.
In 2003 he returned to Bollywood, and established himself once more, appearing mainly in supporting roles in several films such as “Qayamat: City Under Threat” and “Apna Sapna Money Money”. Two years later, he began to take more villainous roles, as seen in “Darwaaza Bandh Rakho” and “D – Underworld Badshah”. In 2010, he worked on the comedy film “Housefull” which became a hit, leading to numerous sequels. However, in recent years, he has declined comedy work, and established himself more as a character actor, as he didn’t like being typecast as a comedian.
