The COVID-19 pandemic affected daily life, health, entertainment, as well as the economy of the country. Football is one of them. Due to the pandemic, football leagues across the globe were suspended indefinitely. Football leagues resumed in June to complete the remaining season. All the remaining fixtures were played without spectators. As of 20 July 2020, Bundesliga and La Liga have already completed, whereas there are only a few matches left in Serie A and Premier League. Ligue 1 did not even return, they suspended the league and announced PSG the league winners.

Bayern Munich star Robert Lewandowski was one of the favorite players to win the Ballon d’Or this year, as he helped the club to win the Bundesliga and DFB-Pokal with 34 league goals. He is also the top scorer in Europe’s top 5 leagues so far.
