John McCain along with his wife Cindy McCain, adopted her from Mother Teresa House (an orphanage)in Bangladesh. Mother Teresa House is the Missionaries of Charity, where nuns and foreign workers care for the children. She is popular as the Bengali daughter of the late Senator John McCain.
