Cain Velasquez was arrested for allegedly participating in a shooting in Morgan Hill, in Santa Clara, California, according to San Jose police reports. According to an NBC report from the Bay area, a man was shot near Monterey Highway and Bailey Avenue, although he was transferred to a hospital in the region with injuries that fortunately did not put his health at risk. A man was arrested at the scene of the shooting, although no further details were given of what happened or caused the incident. It was later discovered that it was Cain Velasquez. Velasquez is detained in the county prison, where he was given the number EGO439 and where he was not given access to any bail, for which he had to spend the night on the spot. He will have his first hearing before the authorities this Wednesday, on 2nd March 2022.

- Cain Velasquez signed a multi-match agreement with Mexican professional wrestling promotion Lucha Libre AAA Worldwide is a heavyweight competitor in March 2019 whereas he made his debut for the promotion at Triplemania XXVII in a trios match.
