The Air Force as the name denotes is responsible for numerous air-related missions which include surveillance, reconnaissance and intelligence gathering as well as the obvious combat missions. It is one of the youngest branches of the US Armed Forces. While details of her service are unknown, she eventually discharged and began work as an accountant.
Connie settled in Simi Valley, California where she worked for the company CK Financial. At around this time, she also became interested in acting, appearing in a minor role in the film “Fantastic Voyage”, which was released straight to video in 1998. She also did a bit of modeling work for “Score”, and it was during this time that she met Jamie Foxx.
Former Partner – Jamie Foxx
Eric Marlon Bishop was born in Terrell, Texas, and is the son of a stockbroker. His parents were barely involved in his upbringing, as he grew-up under the care of his mother’s adoptive parents.
At a young age he developed a love for music, and attended church regularly, playing the piano which led him to join his church’s music team. He was also very athletic, and played American Football and basketball at Terrell High School. He didn’t envision a career in acting at first, as his dream was to become a professional American Football player.
After matriculating from high school, he accepted a scholarship to the US International University, a private university in California that offers numerous programs. During his time there, he took up musical and performing arts composition.
With a background in music and a talent for comedy, he then began considering a career in entertainment. He gave his first comedy performance during an open mic night, after he was dared by a girlfriend to perform. During this time, he thought of the name, Jamie Foxx which he felt was ambiguous enough. He then continued to pursue comedy projects, which led him to the world of acting.
Rise to Fame – Jamie Foxx
In 1991 Jamie became a cast member of “In Living Color”, a comedy sketch show created by Keenen Ivory Wayans. He gained a bit of fame during this time, which led to a recurring role in “Roc”. In 1996, he became the star of the sitcom “The Jamie Foxx Show” alongside Garcelle Beauvais and Christopher B. Duncan.
At the time the show aired through a recently established network, The WB, which struggled during its first years due to competition.
In 1999 he worked on the film “Any Given Sunday”, after being chosen thanks to his background in American Football. He then worked alongside Will Smith in the film “Ali”, before starring alongside Tom Cruise in “Collateral”, which tells the story of a cab driver who becomes the hostage of a hitman, who uses him to travel as he fulfills his contract. It was highly successful, and Foxx gained a lot of praise for his work, even getting him an Academy Award nomination.
Around this time, he also explored music interests, appearing in cameos for several artists such as Kanye West and Benzino.
The Success of Jamie Foxx
In 2004, Jamie was cast in one of his most successful film projects, portraying the late musician Ray Charles in the biographical film “Ray”, winning the Academy Award for best actor. He is also working on a reboot of the “Spawn” franchise, and is with Pixar for a new animated film “Soul”.
