Troy’s friend and musical partner Eddie Montgomery set the magnificent Ancient Tymz group in 1990 that had no equivalent at that moment. Solo Career
Troy Gentry went and maintained performing for a while; it had been in the plan of the solo performance he chose to shortlist to the Jim Beam National Talent Contest in 1994. He won the contest as the absolute best. This led him to start for Patty Loveless and Tracy Byrd in hopes to keep being a solo artist and progress his career. But, things weren’t all easy for him because he was not able to procure a record deal. He shortly reunited with his longtime friend and former music partner Eddie Montgomery to create a ring which went from the appellation Deuce. Deuce played at nearby clubs and has been quite famous among sailors then. They made a decision to rebrand the title to something that easily and easily disclosed the identity of their owners, so that they moved for Montgomery Gentry and signed with Columbia Records in 1999. So, what Troy Gentry couldn’t reach as a solo performer, he also attained it in cooperation together with his diehard music companion Eddie Montgomery. In November of 2016they re-signed record deals with Average Joes Entertainment after departing Blaster Records. They had been working on a brand new album that was set to be published in 2017. Troy Gentry married his wifeAngie McClure in Maui Hawaii on December 14, 1999, in a time when all was going perfectly well in his music career. Troy had a child from an earlier marriage to a girl. It’s not known when they divorced however they had a girl. His kid using Angie McClure called Kaylee Gentry and was created in November 2002. Her name Kaylee was derived by them their middle names from both. The middle name of angie is Kay while of Troy is Lee.

Death and Funeral
Troy Gentry died at age 50 on October 8, 2017, by 1:00 pm at a helicopter accident that also took the life of this pilot. He had been carrying a helicopter tour of Medford, New Jersey where he and Eddie Montgomery were put to play later that day once the crash occurred. The pilot died at the scene of the crash while Troy gave up the ghost while being rushed to the hospital. The group Montgomery Gentry declared his departure in their official Twitter handle where it said with fantastic sadness that Troy Gentry, half the popular country duo, Montgomery Gentry, was murdered in a helicopter accident that happened at Medford, New Jersey. On September 14, 2017, a public memorial ceremony that was well attended was held to get Troy Gentry in the Grand Ole Opry in Nashville. Troy Gentry is not any longer, but his music and heritage lives on.
