The former athlete was born on 19 June 1978 as Dirk Werner Nowitzki in Würzburg, West Germany under the zodiac sign, Gemini. He is the son of his mother Helga Nowitzki who was a professional basketball player. His father Jorg Werner had also played handball for the German national team. Further, he has an older sister named Silke Nowitzki who married Roland Mayer. In addition, his sister is a retired German national basketball player and a former manager of her brother. He has a nationality of Germany and belongs to mixed ethnicity of German and Polish.
Regarding his education, he attended Rontgen High School in Wurzburg, Germany. Apart from this, there is not much information on his higher education. Additionally, he is the only player to record at least 31,000 points, 10,000 rebounds, 3,000 assists, 1,000 steals, 1,000 blocks, and 1,000 three-point field goals.
