Emerson Aparecido Leite de Souza Junior professionally known as Emerson Royal or simply Emerson is a Brazilian professional football player who plays for Barcelona and the Brazil national team as a right-back. He started playing football for the youth team of Condor. He then played for the youth team of Unidos da Cordenonsi, Guanabara, Palmeiras, Sao Paulo, and Gremio. Later on, in 2015, he joined the youth team of Ponte Preta and began his career at the club. He made his senior team debut for the club on 22 February 2017.
