Gael wanted to follow in her father’s and brother’s footsteps and become a singer, but eventually accepted that she wasn’t talented enough. She studied at Downe House School located in Thatcham, Berkshire in England, and there became interested in acting, appearing in nearly all the plays performed at the school. Upon matriculation, she decided not to enroll at a college, but to pursue a career in the film industry.
Career as an actress
Some sources claim that Gael has appeared in movies “Gone Up North for a While”, “Landfall” and “The God Boy” in 1972, 1975 and 1976, respectively, but it is widely known that this is another Gael Anderson who is around 20 years older than our Gael – our Gale only worked as a floor runner on several 2001 episodes of the comedy series “Teachers” which starred her husband, Ursula Holden Gill and Gillian Bevan, and is about the lives of several school teachers.

He has been credited with appearing in roughly 45 movies and TV series, while he might be known best for his portrayal of Edgar ‘Egg’ Cook in the critically acclaimed drama series “This Life”, created by Amy Jenkins in 1996, and which also starred Jack Davenport and Amita Dhiri – it follows the lives of five best friends. The series aired for around a year counting two seasons, and won four awards while it was nominated for two others.
Andrew was raised in Kingston-upon-Hull, England by his South African mother who was a nurse and his British father who was a civil engineer – the family moved there from London when Andrew was a year and a half old.
