Emily’s Early Life
Emily Mary Roeske was born under the zodiac sign of Cancer on the 15th July 1991, in Milwaukee, Wisconsin USA, and apart from being of American nationality, she is also of white ethnicity. She was born into the family of James Paul Roeske Sr. and his wife Ellie Roeske, and has an older brother James Paul Roeske II, who has made a name for himself as a former child actor, and as a Karate instructor.

Acting Career
Emily dived into the world of acting while still being a child at the age of only six, when she made her on-camera acting debut appearance by portraying the main character of Alicia in Don Henry’s 1997 movie entitled “Fell’s Redeemer”.
In the following year, she appeared briefly as a little karate girl in the critically ‘booed’ 1998 humorous action adventure movie with Hulk Hogan in the leading role – “3 Ninjas: High Noon at Mega Mountain” – in which her brother James appeared as well. However, into the limelight, young Emily came in the following year, when she was cast for the role of Sophie Piper in the TV fantasy adventure family movie “Halloweentown“. In 1999, young Emily Roeske guest starred in of one of the most popular TV medical drama series ever – the NBC’s “ER”, appearing in the first episode of the show’s sixth season, entitled “Leave It to Weaver”.
Following the success of the first film, in 2001 at the age of 10, Roeske reprised the role of Sophie Piper in the first sequel of the “Halloweentown’s” movie saga – the TV movie “Halloweentown II: Kalabar’s Revenge”. In this adventure, the Piper trio goes on a quest to catch a notorious warlock named Kal, portrayed by Daniel Kountz, and retrieve a precious stolen spell book of their grandma.
In 2004, Emily appeared in the third installment of this movie series – “Halloweentown High” – which continues to follow the adventures of the abovementioned trio through their high school years. This engagement, intended to be the final movie of the franchise, was Emily Roeske’s last on-camera acting appearance.
At the age of 13, after only a couple of years of acting, Roeske retired from acting and guided herself towards a career in martial arts, eventually becoming a holder of the third-degree black belt in Freestyle Karate.
Alongside her brother James Paul Roeske II, Emily currently owns and operates a Freestyle Karate and mixed martial arts school – Suprise Family Karate – located in Surprize, Arizona.
Personal Life
Since retiring from acting, Roeske has fully dedicated herself to Karate and running her martial arts school, in addition to competing in various martial arts tournaments.
Although she keeps her private life quite secretive and far from the mass media’s vigilant eye, it has been publicly acknowledged that since April 2013 Emily has been a married woman.
With her spouse Mitch Chapman she welcomed one child so far – daughter Evie Marie born in April 2016.
Almost every year, alongside several other cast members from the “Halloweentown” movie franchise, Emily joins the Spirit of Halloweentown, an annual festival celebration that takes place in St. Helens, Oregon, during October.
