Henrikh Mkhitaryan is a versatile Armenian professional footballer who is well known for playing for Serie A club Roma. He made his professional debut in 2006 for Pyunik Yerevan and made his first international appearance for Armenia in 2007. He played for Manchester United from 2016 until 2018 when he joined Arsenal. - Mkhitaryan sealed a $7.5 million switch to reigning Premier League champions Shakhtar Donetsk on 30th August 2010 and his debut came on 10th September 2010 in a 1-0 away league defeat to Obolon Kyiv, being replaced after 62 minutes by Eduardo.
- He made his first appearance in the Ukrainian Cup, netting the second goal in a 6-0 win over Kryvbas, and made his European debut for the club in the Champions League on 28th September 2010 against Sporting Braga winning 3-0.

- Borussia Dortmund announced on 8th July 2018 that it was set to sign a four-year deal with Mkhitaryan for €25 million (£21.5 million). Shakhtar and Borussia officially “resolved all the necessary formalities” and agreed on €27.5 million (£23.6 million), making him the most expensive purchase in the club’s history.
- He set up a goal for Marco Reus in the 11th minute and scored his first goal for the club 16 minutes later on his debut in a pre-season friendly against FC Basel on 10th July 2013, helping his side to a 3-1 victory away at St. Jakob-Park.
- His first Champions League goal for Dortmund came in a 2-1 away win against Arsenal and finished his season with nine goals and ten assists in the Bundesliga and was included in the WhoScored Bundesliga Team of the Season.
