The Wealth of Christopher French
As of early-2020, Christopher French’s net worth is estimated to be over $1 million, earned through success in his various endeavors. He owns a recording company, manages a band called Annie Automatic, and has also done a bit of acting.
He probably benefits from the wealth of his wife as well, as Tisdale has a net worth estimated to be over $10 million.
Early Life, Education, and Career Beginnings
At a young age Christopher developed a passion for music; he began writing songs growing-up, and recorded these songs using a 4-track tape recorder. He eventually decided to pursue music with his studies, and after matriculating from high school enrolled at the Musician’s Institute in Los Angeles, so that he could learn more about what goes into music production.
He took up a degree in Recording Engineering at MI – the school is closely associated with Los Angeles City College.
Following the completion of his degree, he furthered his studies by enrolling at Berklee College of Music, where he learned more about Orchestra and Film Scoring. The contemporary music college is one of the largest in the world, and responsible for numerous alumni, many of whom have gone on to win awards in the entertainment industry.
Music Career
After completing his studies, French established an alternative rock band called Annie Automatic. He was the lead singer of the band, and it released several songs through online platforms such as Spotify. They also collaborated with a few artists, including Kaley Cuoco of “Big Bang Theory” fame.
They had a small following, and never got an opportunity to break through into mainstream audiences.
He signed with First Artists Management, and then began working primarily as a composer and producer, and launched a music studio based in Los Angeles called Lady Bug Sound. He also did a bit of commercial work, handling the music for several projects. Eventually, the opportunity for acting projects came along and he took it, in the film “Unlovable”. The drama musical was released in 2018, and follows the story of a Filipino-American woman who struggles with sex and love addiction, and uses music to help her recover from her ordeals.
The film gained a bit of attention, premiering at SXSW and winning a LUNA Gamechanger Award.
Apart from his independent film work, he was also a guest star in the sitcom “Young & Hungry”, which follows the life of a tech entrepreneur and his chef, who begin a relationship shortly after meeting each other. The show ran for five seasons, ending in 2018.
Wife – Ashley Tisdale
At a young age, Ashley had a lot of exposure to the entertainment industry, with her older sister working as an actress. She began going to auditions at the age of three after the family were approached by a talent manager in a mall.
She appeared in numerous commercials, and later transitioned to performing on stage in plays such as “Gypsy: A Musical Fable”. At the age of eight, she appeared in a production of “Les Miserables” in the role of Cosette. She went for two tours of the production, before moving to Korea for a production of “Annie”.
Wanting to go further with her career, she moved to Los Angeles with her family, and began by appearing as a guest in several shows. She also signed a contract with Ford Models, and did a few voice acting projects. In 2000, she won a Young Artist Award for her guest appearance in “Boston Public”, but continued with completing her studies while still working.
In 2005, she joined the Disney Channel and began appearing in “The Suite Life of Zack & Cody”.
Ashley Tisdale’s Success
While Tisdale was becoming a well-known name, her fame reached international status when she was cast in “High School Musical” as Sharpay Evans. The project was a huge success, leading to a significant following and two sequels, with the third being a theatrical release as opposed to being a television film. Following the success of the franchise, she signed with Warner Bros. Records, and released her debut album called “Headstrong”, which was also successful with it gaining a gold certification.

In 2007 she voiced the character Candace Flynn in “Phineas & Ferb” a role she would hold for the next eight years, while also continuing her music career, releasing “Guilty Pleasure” but which had less success than her debut album. She left Warner Bros. Records and returned to acting with appearances in “Hellcats”. She then signed with Relativity Media, leading to the shows “Miss Advised” and “Sharpay’s Fabulous Adventure” – a spin-off from “High School Musical”. In 2013 she was cast as one of the lead characters of “Scary Movie 5”, and was also a producer of “Young & Hungry”. One of her latest projects is her third album – “Symptoms”.
Personal Life
Christopher and Ashley met each other through mutual friends in 2012 – the couple were first spotted together at the Apple Store in Los Angeles, and made their relationship public shortly afterwards. After a year of dating, he proposed to her while at the top of the Empire State Building -they then had an engagement party at the Bagatelle Los Angeles, which many media outlets described as lavish. Their marriage was on the opposite end of the spectrum, as they desired to have a secret wedding with only close family and friends in attendance, somewhere in Santa Barbara. While the two have been together for six years, they don’t have children, nor have they expressed any desire to have any.
