Early life and education

Jessica was raised a single child in Chicago by her father who was a factory worker, and her mother who was a teacher.

She took an acting class at the age of 12, instantly fell in love with it, and upon enrolling at a local high school joined the school’s drama club, and started appearing in plays performed there. Upon matriculation in 2000, she moved to San Francisco where she worked as a waitress while attending American Conservatory Theatre in the evenings. She didn’t enroll at a college, but rather decided to move to Los Angeles, to pursue her career as an actress.

Jessica made her debut TV series appearance in 2007 when she portrayed Joy in the episode “Express Yourself” of the children’s series “Come On Over”, followed by her appearance in single episodes of many series such as the crime drama “The Beast” in 2009, and three crime dramas “Justified”, “Undercovers”, and “Dexter” in 2010.

In 2011 Jessica guest starred as Nurse Daisy in the crime drama series “The Mentalist”, starring Simon Baker, Robin Tunney and Tim Kang, and which is about a former psychic who is trying to find ‘Red John’, the man who murdered his wife and daughter.
