Josey Hollis Dorsey alongside his mother Naya Rivera was reported to be missing on the evening of 8th July when the mother-son duo went for boating and swimming at Lake Piru in California.

Luckily, Josey was found safe and sound in the boat by himself at around 5 pm. Unfortunately, his mother who was nowhere to be found on the sight when the rescue team led by other boaters, and the Ventura County Sheriff’s Department spotted the boat.
It took five days to finally recover the body of Naya Rivera with the help of Josey’s description of the last moments he had with his mother. And, according to him, Naya had put her son inside the boat from behind after they swam.

Sadly, as Josey looked back, he saw his heroic mother disappear into the water to never come back. Naya wasn’t also wearing a life jacket. As per the Sheriff, the Glee actress and her son were probably hit by a current and that Rivera drowned after she was only able to save her son.
