Kwasi Kwarteng is a British politician. He is a  member of the Conservative Party and he has been a Member of Parliament (MP) for Spelthorne in northern Surrey since 2010. He has been serving as Secretary of State for Business, Energy, and Industrial Strategy since 2021. On 16th November 2018, he was appointed Under-Secretary of State at the Department for Exiting the European Union, following the resignation of Suella Braverman. Kwasi Kwarteng was born on 26th May 1975 in Waltham Forest, London, England. His birth name is Akwasi Addo Alfred Kwarteng. He holds British nationality and he belongs to Mixed ethnicity.
