Her older brother, Matthew Benjamin Bartilson, was born on 9 July 1981, and is a former child actor; he appeared in three Kidsongs videos as a Kidsongs kid, and in “Tiger Troops” as Hank.
When she was four, Lynsey moved with her family to Los Angeles. She began dancing at a very young age, and won her first talent competition for a solo dance when she was seven.

Career
When she was nine she began acting professionally by appearing in television series. She also appeared across Los Angeles in musical theater productions, starring as Ramona Quimby and as Annie in three productions. In the premiere of “Amelia Bedelia,” she received praise for her role as Effie Lou, and for her portrayal of Young Maxine in “Situation Tragedy”, she won a Dramalogue Award.
While pursuing a career in acting, she remained dancing professionally too, and appeared in the Joffrey Ballet’s annual production of “Nutcracker” twice. When CBS began casting a co-star opposite Angela Lansbury who could sing, act and dance, Lynsey auditioned for the role – she was cast in the Hallmark Christmas musical special over the 500 other girls who auditioned.

Her television debut was in 1990 when she hosted “Kidsongs.” In 1994 she sang as Barney in “The Good Life.”
In 1995, she was cast as Megan in the ninth season of “Married… with Children,” a Fox sitcom; this was her first major television role.
She played Lily Finnerty from 2001 to 2005 in “Grounded for Life,” an American sitcom created by Bill Martin and Mike Schiff, which premiered on 10 January 2001 on the Fox Network. The network canceled the show after two full seasons and two episodes of season three, but The WB immediately picked up the series for the rest of season three, and it continued until 28 January 2005 totaling three seasons on that network. Megyn Price and Donal Logue starred in the show as Claudia and Sean Finnerty, who lived with their three children, Lily, played by Lynsey Bartilson, Henry, played by Jake Burbage and Jimmy, played by Griffin Frazen, Irish Catholics living in Staten Island, New York, the comedy is set in an Irish neighborhood.

From a young age, she has been a member of the Church of Scientology, which was created by American author L. Ron Hubbard in May 1952. The religion practices beliefs first expressed and published in 1950. She is also active in Youth for Human Rights International, which is a Scientology organization. According to the group, their aim is ‘To teach youth around the globe about human rights, thus helping them to become valuable advocates for the promotion of tolerance and peace.’
She was the Mistress of Ceremonies in October 2004 in Los Angeles for “Youth for Human Rights Day International.”
It was the first annual event, and she appeared on stage with several prominent Scientologists, including Leisa Goodman. On 4 September 2016, she married Cru Moore. Not much is known about him and their relationship other than that they began dating in 2014, and he refers to himself as ‘Dr. Cru Moore’ on his Instagram account. On 10 September 2016, their son, Robert Camden Moore was born, and in May 2018, their second son, William Mackenzie Moore. The family lives in Los Angeles.
