Early life, family and education
Matt was raised in Rogers alongside his older sister and brother, by their father Art and their mother Rhonda – their father was a stage actor while their mother was a singer. Matt is very close to his family and they can often be seen featured in his pictures on Instagram.
Matt became interested in acting at a very early age, as he spent most of his spare time watching movies and TV series at home. He was a member of his elementary school’s drama club, and appeared in nearly all the plays performed there, while he then went on to play The Flying Monkey King as well as The Farmer in the play “The Wizard of Oz”, performed at Benton County School of the Arts which he later attended.
Matt matriculated in 2016, and decided not to pursue a college degree but to focus on his acting career.
Roles in TV series
Matt made his debut TV series appearance in 2013, when cast to play Lou in the episode “Off Duty” of the crime thriller “Southland”, and gained recognition when he portrayed Daniel in three episodes of the thriller series “Nightmare U” created by Justin Dabrow, and which starred Meredith Yinger, Mark Wells and Luke Morgan.
Matt appeared in single episodes of many series, such as the 2015 comedy family “Future Shock”, the 2016 comedy “The Middle” and the 2016 crime drama mystery “Criminal Minds”. In 2018, Matt played Ryan in four episodes of the comedy “Life in Pieces”, which starred Colin Hanks, Betsy Brandt and Thomas Sadoski, in the story which follows the lives of all members of a family – it was nominated for four awards. Matt then portray Logan in the episode “A Drama Story” of the comedy “Alone Together”, and in 2019 he played Blake in three episodes of the comedy series “Game Shakers”.
Two of Matt’s most recent roles in TV series have been in the 2019 comedy “The Goldbergs” in which he portrayed Andrew Gallery in two episodes, and the 2020 comedy drama musical “High School Musical: The Musical – The Series”, in which he played the lead character EJ in 11 episodes.

Roles in movies
Matt made his debut film appearance in 2012, when he portrayed one of the lead characters Bully #2 in the short adventure “Family Treasure” written and directed by Justin Dabrow, and which also starred Peter Dawson and Timothy Delaney – the story follows a teenager who is searching for his father, and has to find him before his uncle does.
The following year saw him play Diego, the main character in the adventure drama “Can” which is about Diego collecting cans in his neighborhood, and who becomes involved in the drug dealing business – the film gained mostly positive reviews. He went on to play supporting characters in the 2015 family film “I Think My Babysitter’s an Alien”, the 2015 comedy “The Dunes Club”, and the 2016 drama thriller “Inconceivable”. The year 2017 saw Matt star in the short musical “Fading”, directed by Kenneth Arnold Taylor and written by Kaleigh Krause, and in 2018 he portrayed Logan Wills in the family sport film “Alex & Me”.
Two of his most recent roles in movies have been in the 2018 science fiction “Perfect Citizens”, and the 2019 thriller “Stressed to Death”.
Other appearances
In 2016, Matt appeared in the TV special “37th Annual Young Artist Awards”, as he won the Young Artist Award for Best Performance in a TV Series – Recurring Young Actor, for his performance in “Bella and the Bulldogs”.
In 2017 he appeared in another TV special, “The 2nd Annual Young Entertainer Awards”, and was then invited to appear in the dancing competition show “Dancing with the Stars” and the talk show “Good Morning America”.
2019 saw him appear in both the short documentary “High School Musical: The Musical: The Series: The Story” and the TV special “Disney Parks Magical Christmas Day Parade”. Most recently, in early 2020 Matt appeared in two TV specials: “The Disney Family Singalong” and “The Alive+Well Fest”.
Love life and GF
Matt becomes a bit secretive when it comes to his love life, but it’s known that he is currently in a relationship with Brookelynn Elizabeth, an American Instagram star and model. She was born on 29 December 1998 under the zodiac sign Capricorn, and has been working as a full-time model since her teenage years, while she only gained recognition after she dated famous pop singer Liam Attridge.
Matt and Brookelynn were apparently introduced by a mutual friend at a party, and started dating several days later – they have been together for over a year now, and there have been no rumors nor controversies surrounding the relationship.
Matt hasn’t talked about any other girls he might have dated and as of October 2020, he is in a relationship, hasn’t married and doesn’t have children.
Hobbies and other interests
Matt is a huge fan of football and is cheering for the Pittsburgh Steelers, he has watched nearly all of their matches either on TV or live at the stadium.
He started playing the guitar at the age of nine, and then went on to take singing lessons – if he hadn’t become an actor, Matt would’ve been a singer.

He is keen on driving his car and spends most of his free time with his family and friends.
Matt has his own favorite actor and actress, whom are Robert De Niro and Natalie Portman, and a couple of his favorite movies are “The Avengers”, “Ironman” and “V for Vendetta”. He enjoys watching comedy series, and his favorite is “The 3rd Rock from the Sun”.
