Early life and education
Mary was raised in Pine Bluff by her father who is working at an insurance company, and her mother who is a teaching at a local elementary school; Mary has a brother Aaron Parker Mouser, and a sister Laura Ashley Mouser. Following Mary’s example, both of her siblings have also become actors.

Mary became interested in acting at the age of nine, when she was encouraged by her teacher to join the school’s drama club and start appearing in the plays. She went on to study at a local high school where she continued acting, appearing in all of the plays performed at school. Upon matriculation, she didn’t to pursue a college degree, but rather focused on her acting career.
Appearances in movies
One can say that Mary launched her acting career when she was five years old, appearing in the science fiction horror film “Signs”. She went on to make her debut voice role in 2005, in the English version of the Studio Ghibli movie “Pom Poko”, and in the same year appeared in the movies “Son of the Mask”, “Final Fantasy VII: Advent Children”, and “Tarzan II”.
The year 2006 saw her lend her voice to Lill in “Holly Hobbie and Friends: Christmas Wishes”, and appear as Christine Pastore in “Mr. Fix It”. She went on to star in two short films “LA Blues” and “Penny Dreadful” in 2007, and was then cast as Zoe in “Dragon Hunters”, Baby Delgo in “Delgo”, and Julia in “Ball Don’t Lie” in 2008. In the same year, she appeared in “State of Mind”, and then portrayed the lead character Mia Weller in “Life is Wild” being nominated for a Young Artist Award for the Best Performance in a TV Series.
In 2008, she appeared in the series “Life”, while 2009 saw her guest star in an episode of “Lie to Me”, and lend her voice to Marmalade in “Chowder”.
Her next notable role came in 2011, when she was cast in the lead role as Lacey Fleming in the comedy crime TV series “Body of Proof”, which starred Dana Delany and Jeri Ryan, and follows a female medical examiner as she solves crimes. Some of her other notable appearances in TV series include “Drop Dead Diva” in 2012, “Maron” in 2015, and “CSI: Cyber” in 2015.
Mary is currently shooting for “Cobra Kai”, portraying the lead character Samantha LaRusso, while some of her most recent appearances have been in series “Happy Together” and “Room 104”.

Mary met actor Brett Pierce on 11 November 2015 when they were shooting for the same TV series, and they started dating in January 2016. Brett Pierce was born in Los Angeles, California USA in 1994, and was raised there by his father who is a short film director, and his mother who is working at a local telecommunications company. He studied at Brentwood High School where he excelled at playing football and baseball, but was also very good at singing, and had a chance of performing in New York City at Carnegie Hall.
Upon matriculation, he enrolled at the University of Southern California, graduating with a Bachelor of Arts degree in film and theatre in 2016.
Hobbies and other interests
Mary likes to listen to music, and some of her favorite performers are Kurt Cobain, Ariana Grande and Justin Bieber, while she also likes to sing and is currently learning how to play the guitar. She is keen on watching movies and TV series in her spare time, with her favorite actor and actress being Robert Pattinson and Kristen Stewart, and her favorite movies being the franchise “Twilight”. She is in fact a huge fan of Kristen Stewart, and would like to one day be as popular as she is.
Two of her favorite TV series are “Vampire Diaries” and “Doctor Who”. Mary was physically active while she was young, spending most of her free time outdoors playing sports with her friends. However, in 2009 Mary was diagnosed with type 1 diabetes, and has to take insulin by injection every day, and so can’t be as active as she was in the past.
