Paige Wyatt and “American Guns”
The reality series was launched on 10th October 2011, and ran for two seasons with 26 episodes until it was cancelled on 17th December 2012. Paige’s stepfather Rich, mom Renee and brother Kurt, ran a gun shop called “Gunsmoke Guns”, owned by Victor Rodriguez, in Wheat Ridge, Colorado. The family would display and demonstrate guns by shooting the firearms and completinging reviews.
They also manufactured, modified, customized and traded guns, as well as ran shooting classes.
Paige, who sports her own gun collection, had the responsibility of dealing with sales and liaising with suppliers and custom painters etc. Her brother, Kurt, is a custom engraver, and he was responsible for etching designs or the shop’s logo onto the guns. At times, he would fly with Rich in his stepfather’s helicopter to buy or sell guns from and to collectors around the country. Often the show would feature special guests who would try their hand at shooting, and would sometimes be tricked with their last shot producing a big frightening blast, rigged by the Gunsmoke staff for fun.
How did “American Guns” come to an end?
In December 2012 a 20-year old, Adam Lanza, shot and killed his mother in Newton, Connecticut. He then proceeded to the town’s Sandy Hook Elementary School and shot and killed 20 six and seven-year old children and six staff members before committing suicide by shooting himself in the head.
This gruesome massacre sparked off debates regarding ownership of firearms, and brought in new controls and legislation banning certain firearms. Even though “American Guns” was going great guns at that stage and its rating had increased by 50 percent in Season Two, Discovery Channel found themselves under pressure and hence announced that they were canceling the show, and that they would not run it for a third season.
Furthermore, in April 2012, Gunsmoke Guns lost its firearms license, but apparently continued to trade by using another shop where their buyers would complete the sale. The ATF (American Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives) raided the store on 31 March 2015 and they were closed down.
At that stage Rich Wyatt’s YouTube Channel, Gunsmoke Guns TV, which was launched in February 2014, had over 7,500 subscribers – the last video posted was on 20 May 2015. Even though the TV series and the store no longer exist, the number of subscribers has increased to a current figure of over 25,000.
Upon further investigation, in 2017 the 54-year old Rich Wyatt was found guilty of dealing in firearms without a license, and tax evasion, and was sentenced to 78 months inprisonment followed by a mandatory parole of three years.
What happened to Paige Wyatt after “American Guns”
Before this had all taken place, Paige was well on the road to a promising career in modeling, although she had caused some controversy with an apparently explicitly sexual video, which she had shared as a surprise on her birthday and which is no longer available. She was also active on the now-banned Vine Videos.
Paige had also appeared in an episode of Trevecca Land, a fictional comedy series of college life in Nashville, and also in a special feature with Rich Wyatt in “Sons of Guns” called “Top 10 Shootouts”, in which firearms used in American historical events were discussed and demonstrated.
However, since the demise of “American Guns”, Paige has completely withdrawn from the public eye, and there is absolutely no sight or sound of her across all her social media pages, nor in the news. It appears that her mother, Renee, has done the same and the only person in their family who is still out there is her brother, Kurt Wyatt. He is running his own business as an embosser and re-modelling specialist, Wyatt Would Work LLC, and is active on Instagram.
The last photographs of Paige modeling were posted in the years 2012 and 2013. It is not known whether Paige has continued with her clothing line, as there have been no posts on Hughwear Clothing’s Twitter or Facebook feed since July 2017. Their Facebook page states: ‘Currently taking a break while I work on other projects. Don’t worry, Hughwear will be back soon!’
What is Paige Wyatt’s net worth?
Whilst working on “American Guns” it is estimated that Paige earned an annual income of around $250,000 and that her net worth at the time was in the region of $1 million. As she has become a mystery, it is impossible to say how much she is currently worth.
The real truth about Paige Wyatt’s marriage
There have been a lot of fake reports across the media claiming that Paige met Pete Hargis, a coach at A2Z Sports Training, at the OMNIA Nightclub in Las Vegas and that they were married on 9 May 2019 in Phoenix, Arizona. This appears to be entirely a wild rumor as, although Paige Hargis may in her younger years have born a slight resemblance to Paige Wyatt, upon closer inspection it is apparent that they are not the same person. Paige Hargis is a realtor and her history does not include any modeling nor acting. So unfortunately, for Paige Wyatt’s fans wanting to get some juicy news on her current whereabouts and doings, they will be disappointed, as this young star seems to have vanished in a puff of gunsmoke.
