Iain De Caestecker was born on 29 December 1987, in Glasgow, Scotland.

His mother is Dr. Linda De Caestecker, NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde’s Director of Public Health (DPH), as well as an honorary professor at Glasgow’s University, and his father is a medical doctor.
