Early Life
Lauren Shehadi was born as Julia Lauren Shehadi on 23 May 1983 in McLean, Fairfox County, Virginia, USA. She and her sister were raised by their parents, Michael and Mary, in one of the most expensive zip codes in the Southern part of America. She is an American of Lebanese descent as her grandparents are originally from Lebanon.

She matriculated from Langley High School in 2001 and graduated from the University of Florida.
Career
Even in college, Lauren was preparing for a life in sports journalism. She hosted the university’s sports online show called Gatorzone and it served as the foundation of her successful career today. After doing her hosting duties, she also worked as an intern in “The Best Damn Sports Show Period,” a sports television show which started airing back in 2001 up to 30 June 2009 at Fox Sports Net.
After college, Lauren went back to the show and stayed for a while. In 2009, after sending a hundred VHS demo tapes, she was offered a job by Jim Olson as a weekend sports anchor in Minot, North Dakota for KXMC-TV. The station owned by Nexstar Media Group with CBS/CW affiliation covers both local and national news and sports. She also accepted a job as a producer for SNN in Sarasota, Florida, and had a short stint with Comcast Sportsnet. Due to KXMC-TV station’s affiliation with CBS, she was soon noticed by CBS Sports Network. Lauren became an anchor and reporter for the station covering various events. She also co-hosted other popular shows such as SEC Tailgate, Fantasy Football Today, and also the ALT Games with American freestyle skier Jonny Moseley.

Lauren joined Major League Baseball (MLB) Network and her first hosting job was with sports commentator Matt Yallof in the show entitled, “The Rundown.” Soon after, she was given more projects across the network’s programming schedule. On the same year, she was tapped by TBS network to cover the American League Championship Series by being the on-field commentator during the event. This 2020, Lauren was chosen to be a sideline reporter for NCAA March Madness by CBS and Turner Sports. She will be joined by Wally Szczerbiak, Adam Lefkoe, Adam Sucker, and basketball superstar Dwayne Wade as new commentators for the annual tournament. They were supposed to complete the coverage team along with the veteran studio anchors, but due to the Covid-19 pandemic, the event was cancelled and it was rescheduled in 2021.

Personal Life
Aside from the very rare mentions of her family in her social media accounts, little else is known about her personal life. She is keeping everything private. People could only speculate by looking for meaning behind the photos that she shares to the public via her Instagram account. It was rumored that she is engaged already based from the kind of rings that can be seen on her ring finger. No one has seen the fiancé and no official press release of any kind was given to the public. Her friends are quiet as well. Nevertheless, her fans congratulated her. Lauren also mentioned she has a kid during an interview she had with Hoda and Jenna at the “Today Show,” but other than that, no details are shared to the public.
Charity

In 2010, she was one of the top five nominees for Playboy’s Sexiest Sportscaster, and since she started appearing regularly in major networks, she has always been considered as one of the most beautiful sportscasters in America. Lauren was hooked to the game of baseball after watching a game with her father when she was 12 years old. During an interview, she said, ‘I fell in love with this great game at age 12. I remember it so vividly.
The Angels were in town to face the Orioles, and growing up in the D.C Metropolitan area, Cal Ripken Jr. was larger than life, and he was breaking Lou Gehrigs’ consecutive games played streak. The standing ovation was twenty minutes. It was a who’s-who in the crowd. Presidents of the past, baseball royalty…I remember thinking, this guy has played 17 years, never missed a day of work. That is something to idolize for me.’ Her dream project is to have a show that tracks down athletes during the offseason. Whether they go back to their hometowns, travel abroad, or participate in their charities, she wants to feature the other side of the athletes to the viewers.
