Early life and education

Robyn was raised in Twin Falls by her father James Elias Molyneux who was born in 1920, fought in the US Army in World War II, and who died in 2008 at the age of 88, and by her mother Erma Jeanne Upp, born in 1924 and who died in 2003 at the age of 79. Robyn became interested in acting at a very early age, and was a member of the Jerome High School’s drama club until matriculation in 1962.

She continued her education at Boise Junior College and then Utah State University, graduating with a Bachelor’s degree in science and technology in 1966. At the same time, Robyn was practicing her acting skills at a local acting school.

Career as an actress and other ventures

After graduation, Robyn started working as a weather forecaster in Twin Falls, before being noticed by a modelling scout who invited her to a photoshoot. After several years of modelling and weather forecasting, Robyn appeared in the magazine “Playboy” two times in 1974, actually wearing all of her clothes.

In the same year, she was invited to appear in “The Tonight Show Starring Johnny Carson”.

She made her debut film appearance in “Blazing Saddles” in 1974 – the movie stars Cleavon Little and Gene Wilder in the story about a black Sheriff who turns against the corrupt politician who appointed him as Sheriff.
