While working as a cosmetician, she was offered photo layouts and fashion shows. Sybil made her on-screen debut in “Komm nur, mein liebstes Vogelein,” a German comedy in 1968. She followed this with “The Long Swift Sword of Siegfried,” an erotic action film as Kriemhild in 1971. From there, Sybil continued to receive small film roles, which were mostly based on her sex symbol image.

In 1978, Sybil moved to Hollywood to further her acting career. She landed her first film role in “Battle Beyond the Stars,” a Roger Corman’s space opera cult classic, which helped her get established as an actress.

In the 1980s, Sybil appeared in various films, including “Chained Heat,” “Malibu Express,” “Hercules,” “Reform School Girls,” and “Howling II: Your Sister is a Werewolf.”

In 1990, Sybil’s acting career was interrupted when she suffered a spinal disc herniation as she was rehearsing for a movie stunt. She subsequently took a break from acting until 2003, when Kevin Clement invited her to his Chiller Theatre in New Jersey to meet her adoring fans. The same year, Sybil also appeared as nurse Wynn in “Halloween,” a Rob Zombie’s remake of John Carpenter’s original movie.

In 2008, Sybil relocated to Austria to play the role of Anna Gruber, Patrick Swayze’s witness in the drama film “Jump,” loosely based on the real-life Halsman murder case.

She also starred in five episodes of “The Lair,” a gay-themed vampire TV series, playing the role of a sinister vampire who was out for vengeance.

Two years later, Danning appeared in “Virus X” a horror movie, and the following year she both produced and appeared in the music/horror video for a rock band, “The Last Vegas.” In 2017, she appeared in “The Last Revenants,” a vampire film; the plot follows a great plague that has killed all vampires on the planet save for four lone female survivors of the species, who have to integrate into society or risk becoming extinct.
