Early life and education

Rachel was raised a single child in Mandeville by her father who was a lawyer, and her mother who was an accountant. She grew up wanting to become a model, reading teen magazines together with her peers, and in local high school she became physically active, running track and playing soccer. Upon matriculation, Rachel enrolled at Louisiana State University, where she was on the university’s track and field team, and while several sources have stated how Rachel was a cheerleader and a Golden Girl (meaning she was a member of the popular Louisiana State University’s dance team), Rachel has stated that this isn’t true.

She graduated with a Bachelor’s degree in public relations in 2004.

Career as a model, TV personality, and actress

Upon graduation, Rachel was not able to find work in her field of study, and so started working as a supermarket cashier where she was noticed by a modelling scout, who invited her to attend one of their auditions.
