Who is Patrick Labyorteaux?

Patrick Francis Labyorteaux was born in Los Angeles, California USA, on 22 July 1965 – his zodiac sign is Cancer and he holds American nationality. He is an actor, TV writer and producer, who is perhaps still best known for his portrayal of Andrew ‘Andy’ Garvey in the romantic family series “Little House on the Prairie”, which was created by Blanche Hanalis and aired from 1974 to 1983 . The series starred Melissa Gilbert, Michael Landon and Karen Grassle, and  followed the Ingalls family living in mid-west US in the 19th century – it won 17 awards and was nominated for 42 others, including three Golden Globes.

Early life and education

Patrick was mistreated by his parents, and was abandoned before he was one year old – he was eventually adopted by Ronald Labyorteaux who was a talent agent, and who died in 1992, and Frances Mae Labyorteaux who was an actress and who died in 2012. Patrick’s brother Matthew was adopted by Frances and Ronald in 1966 before he turned one and his sister Jane was adopted two years later.

Patrick became interested in acting after Frances started taking him to the sets of her movies and TV series and as she was also a theatre actress, Patrick was allowed to appear in several of her plays (uncredited appearances).

He became a member of his elementary school’s drama club, appearing in all the plays performed there and after he enrolled at a high school, he also started appearing in theatre plays, and was praised for his acting skills. The two married in a private ceremony attended by their closest friends and family on 3 October 1998, and in July 2001 welcomed their son Jeau Bennett. Patrick hasn’t talked about any other women he might have dated before he met Tina, so as of September 2020, he is married and has one son.
