Childhood and education
Kirsten was raised in Lincoln an only child, by her father who was a lawyer and her mother who was teaching math at a local high school. She grew up wanting to become a model, as she and her peers would buy girly magazines and read them together, however, this changed when she enrolled at a local high school, where she began spending her time with boys. Kirsten then started playing video games, and several sports such as soccer and tennis. and after matriculation in 2004, she enrolled at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln from which she graduated Suma Cum Laude in 2009 with a Bachelor’s degree in international studies while she minored in anthropology. She spent her final year studying abroad first in Peru and then in Thailand.
Kirsten’s career
She launched her career in July 2008 when she worked as an Ethnobotanical Researcher in Peru and Thailand where she did research on traditional and alternative medicine. She stayed there for a year before becoming an office and financial manager at Weiss Law Offices, through to October 2012.
During that time, Kirsten obtained her PADI Open Water Diver and later her PADI Advanced Open Water Diver certification, before becoming an underwater navigator.
She became a professional performance shooter in 2011 and in January 2012 began working at Lapua Service Center as their shooting and design consultant and coordinator. She helped open the center by co-ordinating its design, the building, and the opening day.
Kirsten was simultaneously working there and at Nammo Tactical as their product tester for high profile clients. She held both jobs for five months.
From December 2012 to June 2013, Kirsten worked at Long Range University as a firearms design and shooting consultant, as well as their online sales executive, and she was a producer and expert host for their subsidiary Long Range Pursuit TV, as well as an associate editor of their “Long Range Magazine”. The year 2013 saw her work as the shooting consultant and shooter for the filming of the crime drama thriller movie “Wasteland”, which starred Vanessa Kirby, Iwan Rheon and Matthew Lewis and which is about four friends who are planning to rob a local drug dealer; the movie was nominated for three awards.
In the same year, she served as Al Pacino’s stunt shooter as well as a shooting consultant for the filming of the drama film “Manglehorn”, which also starred Holly Hunter and which follows a man who tries to start a new life after the death of his wife.
She spent a month at the long range gun and scope firm, Best of the West in August 2014 as their guest consultant and trainer, at long range shooting schools before she founded the Texas International Firearms Festival in October 2013, and was its spokesperson and co-ordinator for over a year. In December 2014, Kirsten was the guest host of the 31 episodes of the historical reality series “GunnyTime with R. Lee Ermey” which is focused on weapons and counts, and was also a creative and technical consultant during all its three seasons.
In November 2016, Kirsten became a partner at the Grunt Style company, which is creating gear and helping veterans and patriots, and she has since been serving as their sponsored athlete and ambassador.
Since 2010 to this day, Kirsten has been a member and sponsored shooter of the Team Lapua, a group consisting of some of the best shooters from all the corners of the world.
Awards and accolades
Kirsten has attended numerous competitions since 2010, and she won her first gold medal at the National Rifle Association (NRA) Smallbore Championships – Women’s National Championship, then won her next gold medal at Smallbore International Match Bisley, England.
She went on to win a silver medal at NRA National Smallbore Championships, and then competed in the Munich World Cup Team, and was named Top Performing US Athlete.
Kirsten won a silver medal at National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) Individual Smallbore before winning bronze at Open Prone National Championships and gold at both World Championship Team Tryout and Junior Prone National Champion followed by her silver medals at Junior Smallbore National Championships and Junior Olympic National, Smallbore. Some of her latest wins have been two gold medals at National Guard Competitions and a silver medal at Sharpshooter Camp Perry.

Volunteering
Kirsten has dedicated much of her free time to helping others, while veterans and children with disabilities have a special place in her heart. She began by teaching English at Hershey Free Church in Bangkok, Thailand, and in several high schools around both Bangkok and Udan Thani in 2003.
She volunteered at Safe Quarters from 2004 to 2008, which is an organization that helps women and children who are suffering from abuse, and during those years she also volunteered at Special Olympics and Ten Thousand Villages, which help sell items made by disadvantaged people. She volunteered at Dad’s of Kids with Disabilities from 2005 to 2006, and around the same time worked with Read to Succeed, which encourages children to read for fun.
Love life and spouse
There are rumors circulating the internet that Kirsten has exchanged wedding vows with her other half sometime in 2019 but these haven’t been confirmed, and she hasn’t uploaded any pictures with a man onto her Instagram account. She has been keeping the details of her love life to herself, however, she has on two occasions mentioned her boyfriend in the caption of her pictures, but several days later deleted these pictures. It is widely believed that she was dating a mysterious man from 2016 to 2018, and that the two broke up in the summer for unknown reasons.
Some people have stated that Kirsten is a lesbian, which is why she hasn’t talked about any men she might have been with, and the same people have also stated to have seen Kristen being rather too close to a woman at a bar.
Hobbies and other interests
Kirsten is an outdoors person, and enjoys spending her free time in nature rather than in overcrowded cities, or stuck between the four walls. She is a camper who likes to sleep in her tent and cook food with her friends while somebody is playing the guitar, and although she is a huge lover of animals, she also enjoys going hunting with her favorite rifle.

Kirsten is interested in a variety of sports such as playing soccer and beach volleyball, while she also does rock climbing, skiing and snowboarding. She likes to travel, and has been to each continent at least once, while two of her favorite destinations are Bangkok in Thailand and Paris in France.
Kirsten likes to watch movies late at night and some of her favorite actors and actresses are Vin Diesel, Dwayne ‘The Rock’ Johnson, and Angelina Jolie, while some of her favorite movies are the franchise “Fast and the Furious”, “Pitch Black”, and “Lara Croft: Tomb Raider – The Cradle of Life”.
