Richard Keith Robert Coles, professionally known as Richard Coles is an English musician, journalist, radio presenter, and Church of England parish priest. He is well recognized for being a part of the multi-instrumentalist group the Communards, which achieved three Top Ten hits. He is also known for his multiple appearances on both radio and television. Richard was awarded an MA by research from the University of Leeds in 2005 for his work on the Greek text of the Epistle to the Ephesians. With a passion for music at a young age, he learned how to play the saxophone, clarinet, and keyboards. Coles is also a member of the Labour Party as well as he is a member of the Gaelic Athletic Association (GAA), having been converted through watching the 2020 TV series “Normal People”.
