She furthered her studies, staying in Paris where she became a student under the Ecole de Theatre Les Enfants Terribles, then enrolled at the French National Academy of Dramatic Arts which is considered one of the most selective drama schools in the country. There she completed her acting degree, learning how to perform proficiently in three languages.
One of her first professional projects was a local production of “Le Radeau de la Meduse”, which was shown at the Theatre National Populaire, based on the film of the same name, telling the story of the destruction of the French frigate the Meduse.
More theatre work came her way, and she was in local productions of “Race” and “Le Costume” or “The Suit”. In 2001, she made her television debut in the French show “Police District”.

She was then written out during the fourth season, as her character returned to Paris. Life After Death in Paradise
Martins has since mostly done work on television, appearing as a recurring character in the show “American Odyssey”, aired on NBC and following the story of a team from the US Army which discovers that a US company has been funding terrorist groups from Mali; stars of the show include Peter Facinelli and Anna Friel.
At around the same time, she also worked on the French show “The Law of Alexandre” which is a part of the larger French series “The law of…”
In 2017, she made a guest appearance in the French series “Capitaine Marleau”, a show about the title character who is a captain of the National Gendarmerie, focusing on her various eccentricities. Her latest project is an appearance in the British series “Father Brown”, which is based on various GK Chesterton short stories. The show is one of the longest-running in Britain, and follows the titular character, a priest who solves various criminal cases in the 1950s.
