1. He Did Not Graduate From University.

Sean Hannity attended Sacred Heart Seminary in Hempstead, New York during his middle school years. He later attended St. Pius X Preparatory Seminary High School, from which he completed his high school graduation. Following his high school graduation, Hannity chose to attend New York University. He later transferred to Adelphi University. However, Hannity dropped out of the university without graduating.

2. He Was A Building Contractor.

Prior to his media career, Sean Hannity initially started a house-painting business in 1982. A few years later, he worked as a building contractor in Santa Barbara, California. Things did not work out well for Hannity. Hannity later decided to pursue a journalism career.

3. His Grandparents Were Immigrants.

Sean Hannity is American-born, but his grandparents were not native Americans. His grandparents immigrated to the United States from Ireland. Thus, Hannity has Irish ancestry. Hannity’s father, Hugh Hannity worked as a family-court officer, whereas his mother Lillian worked as a stenographer and a corrections officer at a county jail. He has 3 older siblings. 

4. Sean Hannity’s Show on KCSB Was Canceled Due to Controversy.

Sean Hannity hosted his first talk radio show in 1989. he hosted his first show at the volunteer college station at UC Santa Barbara, KCSB-FM. 

His weekly show on KCSB was canceled after less than a year due to controversy. The controversy rose while discussing gay and lesbian rights on two of his shows. The discussion on his show was considered to be a contentious manner. A campaign on Hannity’s behalf was conducted by the Santa Barbara chapter of the American Civil Liberties Union. They argued that the station had discriminated against Hannity’s First Amendment rights. The station refused to issue Hannity a public apology and more airtime. Thus, Hannity left KCSB.

Sean Hannity has authored three times New York Times Bestseller books.

His first book, Let Freedom Ring: Winning the War of Liberty over Liberalism was published in 2002.

His second book, Deliver Us From Evil: Defeating Terrorism, Despotism, and Liberalism was published in 2004. 

His third book, Conservative Victory: Defeating Obama’s Radical Agenda was released in 2010.

His fourth book, Live Free or Die is scheduled to release in 2020.

6. Sean Hannity Promoted Several Conspiracy Theories.

Fox News anchor Sean Hannity has promoted several high-profile conspiracy theories. He promoted birtherism regarding former US president, Barack Obama’s birth certificate. He repeatedly called on Obama to release his birth certificate. He also claimed that DNC staff Seth Rich’s murder was part of a conspiracy. He also claimed that Clinton had serious medical problems during the 2016 presidential election. He also claimed that media covered up Clinton’s issues.

He stated in February 2020 that “many on the left are now all rooting for corona to wreak havoc in the United States. Why? To score cheap, repulsive political points”. He discouraged social distancing at the time. Later in March when President Trump declared a national emergency, Hannity stated that his show had taken the pandemic seriously from the start.
