Early life and education

Skylar was raised in Branford by her father Roy Dunn who is a professor at college, and her mother Jackie Brailsford Dunn who is a writer; she has a younger brother, Luke who is also planning on becoming an actor.

Skylar began dancing at the age of three, and acting around the age of six when she enrolled at elementary school, with her first roles being in school plays. She joined the local community theatre too, and began appearing in their plays as well. Skylar is also interested in sports when she is not acting, and plays football and lacrosse, as well as dancing – she’s participated in several dancing competitions, but achieved any notable results yet.
