Maximilian David Muñiz is an American celebrity kid, who has attracted the attention of the public for being the son of superstars actors Jennifer Lopez and Marc Anthony.
Early life and family
Maximilian David Muñiz was born on 22 February 2008, in Long Island, New York USA to parents Marc Anthony and Jennifer Lopez. His parents first met in 1998 while Anthony was doing “The Capeman”, and his first words to her were, ‘One day, you’re going to be my wife.’ They met again later in 1998 when they were both recording at the same studio, and he asked her to be in his music video, “No Me Conoces” (You Don’t Know Me), and she agreed on the condition that he’d record the song “No Me Ames” (Do Not Love Me) with her in 1999 which was included in her debut album.
They were eventually married on 5 June 2004 in a private ceremony in Lopez’s Beverly Hills home, after dating for six months.
Jennifer gave birth to Max at North Shore Hospital via cesarean section at 12:23 a.m., which was a minute after the birth of his fraternal twin sister named Emme Maribel Muñiz, and weighed five pounds 13 ounces. David was the name of Jennifer’s father, and Maribel was the name of Marc’s sister who died from brain tumor. Muñiz was Marc’s legal last name.
His parents separated in 2011, and the divorce was finalized on 16 June 2014, with Jennifer getting primary custody of the kids although they are co-parenting. They are friends and continue to work together on various projects.
Max has an older half-sister, Arianna Muñiz, and adoptive older brother, Chase Muñiz, from his father’s former girlfriend, Debbie Rosado. He also has two older half-brothers, Christian Marcus Muñiz and Ryan Adrian Muñiz, from his father’s marriage to former Miss Universe Dayanara Torres. Who is Marc Anthony?
Marc Anthony is an American singer-songwriter, record producer, and actor, who was born Marco Antonio Muñiz on 16 September 1968, in New York City, to Puerto Rican parents Felipe, who worked at a hospital cafeteria, and Guillermina, who was a homemaker. He along with his four older brothers and three older sisters was raised as Roman Catholic in East Harlem. His parents later divorced. His father, also a professional guitarist, taught him to sing in Spanish and English at an early age – Marc was seven when he sang at his father’s social club, and was 12 when he and one of his sisters sang commercial jingles.
Career as a singer and songwriter
So as not to be confused with the Mexican singer he was named after, he had to use the stage name Marc Anthony when he joined the music industry.
He started writing songs in high school, a couple of them for the dance star named Sa-Fire that made it to the Top 40 countdown. He also composed songs for Menudo, and became the popular Latino boyband’s back-up singer. Atlantic Records producer Little Louie Vega, whom he met when he wrote songs for The Latin Rascals, asked him to sing in collaboration with him on the dance album “When the Night is Over,” in the early 1990’s. He opened for famous musician Tito Puente at the Madison Square Garden, and considered him as the one who had a significant influence on his life and career.

His first album, “Otra Nota” (Another Note), was released in 1993 and “Todo a Su Tiempo” (All in Due Time) in 1995, which earned him his first nomination for a Grammy Award in 1996.
“Contra La Corriente” (Against the Tide) was the first salsa track that made it to the Billboard 200 and gave him his first Grammy in 1998 for Best Latin Tropical Performance. He made his debut on Broadway in 1998 when he portrayed the role of the young Salvador Agron, who killed two teenagers in 1959, in the musical play, “The Capeman,”by Paul Simon.
He held sold-out concerts at Madison Square Garden for two nights, which was a first for a Latin American. Along with the singer-songwriter, Tina Arena, he recorded “I Want to Spend My Lifetime Loving You,” which is the soundtrack for the blockbuster film, “The Mask of Zorro” (1998). He received the Song of the Year Award in 2000 from the Latin Grammy for “Dimelo” (I Need to Know).
Anthony’s achievements in the music industry include selling over 12 million albums globally; winning two Grammys and six Latin Grammy Awards; making it into the Guinness Book of World Records for being the solo artist with the most year-end best-selling albums on the Tropical Albums chart for “Desde Un Principio” (2000), “Libre”(2002), and “3.0 (2013); and being honored by the Latin Recording Academy in 2016 as Person of the Year.
Movie Career
Anthony debuted as a movie actor in “East Side Story” (1988) as the singer Flaco, then made a cameo appearance in the Al Pacino-starrer, “Carlito’s Way” (1993), in which he sang “Parece Mentira” (It Seems like A Lie). He was part of the comedy-drama, “Big Night” (1996) which was a commercial success, and was nominated for the Grand Jury Prize at the Sundance Film Festival. Other noteworthy projects that he’s been part of include the Martin Scorsese film “Bringing Out the Dead” (1999), and the Denzel Washington-starring “Man on Fire” (2004), which had worldwide gross earnings of more than $130 million.
He has a musical drama movie that is scheduled to be released in July 2021, entitled “In the Heights.”

Jennifer Lynn Lopez is an American singer, dancer, actress, producer, and businesswoman, who was born on 24 July 1969, in The Bronx, New York City, to Puerto Rican parents David Lopez and Guadalupe Rodriguez. Diddy’ Combs was one of the contributors to this album; he was her boyfriend at that time and she considered him one of her mentors, as she learned much about the business from him.

Her second album was “J.Lo”, which is the nickname that her fans gave her, although she said that she first heard it from the American rapper, Heavy D., who loved to shorten her name when they met in the studio. The lead single, “Love Don’t Cost A Thing,” was released in December 2000 and peaked at number three on the Billboard Hot 100. The album was released in 2001, topping the Billboard 200, and her movie, “The Wedding Planner,” that premiered the same week topped the box-office, which made her the first, if not the only one to achieve this.
J.Lo went on releasing albums that topped the charts, including “This is Me…Then” (2002) and “Love?” (2011). She made more movies that were blockbuster hits, such as “Maid in Manhattan” (2002), “Shall We Dance?” (2004), and “Hustlers” (2019). She had 120 residency concert shows entitled “All I Have in Las Vegas (2016-2018)”, that grossed more than $100 million in ticket sales.
