Sophie was raised in Royal Tunbridge Wells by her father who is a factory worker and her mother who is a teacher and she became interested in acting while at elementary school, but after realizing she was not that good at it, she turned to modelling.

She attended Sacred Heart School where she was physically active mostly because she wanted to stay fit to become a model, but upon matriculation, she enrolled at the University of Wales, graduating with a Bachelor of Science degree in economics in 2005. She was spending a lot of her time while attending college studying history which was her favorite subject.
