Taylor was raised in Los Angeles by his father who is a small store owner, and his mother who is an accountant; he has one older and one younger brother, and a younger sister. When he enrolled at high school, Taylor began playing soccer and basketball, and wanted to enroll at a university on a soccer scholarship upon matriculation, however, at the age of 16 he attended an acting class instead of his sister, and discovered that he had a talent for acting.
