American child actress Ava Kolker, was born on 5 December 2006, in Los Angeles, California, USA. She was raised by her parents, Sandrine and Doug Kolker, along with her two older sisters, Kayla born in 1998, and Jade born in 2001, and her younger sister, Lexy (born in 2009). Lexy is also an actress; she is most well-known for her role as Chloe in the 2018 horror “Freaks.” Ava and Lexy both portrayed Robin (the same character at different ages) in the television series “Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.” in 2013.

Ava appeared in her first musical when she was five years old, and has so far appeared in eight productions.
Television
Ava’s acting career began in 2011, when she appeared in “American Horror Story” in the episode entitled “Spooky Little Girl” – she was five at the time, but played a three-year-old. She has appeared in single episodes of several other shows, including “Sam & Cat,” “Dads,” and “Black-ish” in 2014 as Romy.
The following year she was cast as Ava Morgenstern, a recurring role in “Girl Meets World,” a comedy television series on Disney Channel that is also a spin-off from “Boy Meets World.” She was nominated for a Young Artist Award ,and won a Young Entertainer Award in the category Best Recurring Young Actress 9 and Under – Television Series.
Ava initially auditioned for young Maya, then young Missy, and finally for young Riley – those roles were eventually written out, but the writers created the part of Emma Weathersby, especially for Ava. However, fellow actor, August Maturo who portrayed her boyfriend, August “Auggie” Matthews, repeatedly called Ava by her actual name, so the creators renamed her character Ava Melanie Ruth Esther Morgenstern. In the episode “Girl Meets First Date,” they get “married,” and she convinces him to do whatever she says because she is older than him, but does not know the impact it has on Auggie. Producer Michael Jacobs said, ‘This little girl came in and originally, we thought, ‘it might be nice if Auggie had a little girlfriend.’ And so Ava is now his “wife” of three years. She guest-appeared as Maddie in the comedy series “White Famous,” in the 2017 episode entitled, “Life on Mars,” and that same year she also played a younger Robin in “Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.,” a Marvel superhero television series. The following year, she was cast as the main character Olive, in “Sydney to the Max,” another Disney Channel sitcom. She’s said that her role as Ava helped her prepare for the role as Olive.
Film
Ava starred as Marybeth Geitzen in the 2012 comedy “Golden Winter”, and the following year she played Lily in “Scary Movie 5,” the final installment of the commercially successful comedy horror film series.
That same year, she played the supporting lead, Augie, in the drama “The Trials of Cate McCall.” Out of hundreds of child actors, Ava was chosen to play the unhappy daughter of Kate Beckinsale’s character.
In 2014, she appeared as Heather in the thriller “Miss Meadows”, and two years later she played Ingrid in the horror “The Axe Murders of Villisca,” Boot in the action “Message from the King,” and Young Austin in the drama television film “Sister Cities.

Singing
While on the set of “Sydney to the Max,” Ava realized that she didn’t have to choose between her two passions, acting, and music – she could pursue both. In a 2019 interview with Pop-Culturalist, she said, ‘I started doing musical theatre at five years old. I loved singing on stage and feeding off the energy of a live audience. Singing was something I was also interested in, but I put all of my energy into acting.’ She explained that while on set, she was able to record original songs, and worked together with songwriters Peter Zizzo and Francis Galluccio to record her first few songs. ‘I loved the process even more than I could have imagined,’ and so decided that she would work on her music when they were not filming “Sydney to the Max.”
In July 2019, she released her debut single “The Good Ones”. In her interview with Pop-Culturist, she opened up about what inspired the single, ‘… the fact that along the way, I’ve met people that have come in and out of my life and have sometimes been hurtful.’ Ava shared that her parents would always advise her to move on, and focus on the people who are genuinely kind, loving, loyal, and protective.
In 2020, she released two more singles, “When Will It Be Tomorrow” and “Eventually” – the former through Vevo.
Other
Ava acted alongside comedian Chelsea Handler in several promotional videos for Chelsea’s late-night talk show, “Chelsea Lately.”
She has also done a few skits with Jimmy Kimmel for his late-night talk show, “Jimmy Kimmel Live.”
She’s also appeared in several television ads for well-known companies, such as Square TV and AT&T; she also became a Vibe Crew member. She walked the catwalk at the 2015 LA Fashion Week, and has modeled for two designers.
Personal life
When she’s not acting, Ava enjoys hiking, tennis, going to the beach and swimming. Despite becoming famous, she still spends time with her family, pets, and lives the typical life of a child. She loves animals, especially dogs, and is a passionate anti-animal abuse and cruelty advocate.
Ava not only supports animals, but she also spreads awareness for organizations, and attends charity events for positive worldwide impacts.
Being such a young teen, Ava has not been involved in any drama, controversy or scandal. It appears as though she has not as yet been in a romantic relationship.
